Sydney, Australia – 31 March 2011. Nokia will be extending its Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty (MLW) from 12 months to 24 months on Nokia devices, including its latest smartphones purchased on or after the 31st March 2011[1].
Nokia’s new 24-month MLW provides customers with assurance that they will not be charged for the cost of repairing a faulty Nokia device for 24 months from the date of purchase.
Nokia’s managing director, Chris Carr, said, “We’re raising the standards in our handset service by offering a level of protection beyond the 12-month norm.
“It’s of benefit to our consumers and reinforces the confidence we have in the quality of our products,” he said.
[1] Nokia’s 24-month MLW excludes customers who have purchased a Nokia device from Vodafone or its retailers. Customers who have purchased a Nokia device from Vodafone or its retailers will continue to enjoy a 12-month Nokia MLW. Vodafone already provides a 24-month Repair Warranty on new Nokia devices purchased after a certain date. See www.vodafone.com.au/warranty for more information.
