By manager213 - 05/10/11

Sydney, Australia – 5 October 2011. Nokia today unveiled its new ‘Beautifully Simple’ campaign to promote the company’s latest smartphone – the Nokia N9.

The campaign aims to reflect the simplicity of the Nokia N9, which combines beautiful design with a new, simple-to-use interface and undoubtedly one of the best user experiences of any smartphone available today.

A collaboration with the Nine Entertainment Company, the national campaign captures the essence of beauty and simplicity through the eyes of some of Australia’s most exciting personalities from the world of fashion, film, sport and TV.

The ‘Beautifully Simple’ campaign was unveiled by Nokia at an event in Sydney today attended by a number of well known names who appear in the advertising for the Nokia N9:

  • Catriona Rowntree
  • Emma Freedman
  • Firass Dirani
  • Kate Waterhouse and Luke Ricketson

The fully integrated TV, magazine and digital campaign will launch this Sunday and will run across Nine Entertainment Company media outlets until early December.

Jolaine Boyd, Nokia’s head of marketing, said, “What we loved about this idea is that it gives Australians a glimpse into the lives of some of the country’s most exciting personalities – revealing what is both beautiful and simple to them.”

The much anticipated Nokia N9 will be available in Australia from next week through Optus, Telstra, Vodafone, Virgin Mobile and all leading retailers.

With no menu buttons, the Nokia N9 is controlled entirely by touch and swipe gestures and focuses on the things people do most – use apps, socialise and multitask. Featuring the latest audio, navigation and camera technology for a great all-round experience, the Nokia N9 includes:

  • 3.9-inch AMOLED curved glass screen with a ClearBlack display
  • 8-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss autofocus sensor, wide-angle lens and HD-quality video

  • Free turn-by-turn drive and walk navigation with voice guidance
  • A choice of thousands of tracks and albums from global and local artists on Nokia’s Music Store
  • Access to top social networking, entertainment and gaming apps through Nokia Store
